INSTRUCTIONS. (Please refer to corresponding images)
1. Carefully press the three large shapes out of the yellow card.
2. Take a small straight edge such as a 15cm ruler, hold it securely onto a creased line and fold the card upwards against the ruler to form a 90º angle, continue in this manner until the card is folded at all the creased lines.
3. Using a fast setting adhesive, carefully glue the flap to the inside of the folded shape to complete the three dimensional form.
4. Complete the other two forms using the same methods from step 2 and 3.
5. Using the red card this time, carry out all the previous steps to create the four remaining 3d forms.
6. Apply a small amount of adhesive to the inside of part ‘f’ and push part ‘a’ into the opening in part ‘f’ until it can go no further, make sure the parts are well squared to one another.
7. Do the same with part ‘b’ and part ‘d’, remembering to push down as far as it will go.
8. When the glue has set push the opposite end of part ‘b’ into the large aperture in part ‘c’, as before using adhesive and making sure that all is square to one another.
9. Carefully push the large flap of part ‘a; into the slot of part ‘c’ that was formed when the end cap was tucked into part ‘c’ ( if some glue has dried in this slot, use a small knife to open the slot more ),
now attach the small fap into the under side of part ‘c’ using a bit of glue to strengthen the bond.
10. Slot and glue the flaps of part ‘e’ and part ‘g’ into the slots at the top of part ’c’.
APPLYING THE LETTERING. (One lettering strip for each side)
Burnish the letters through the carrier tape with the edge of an old credit card or something similar to make sure they stick well to the carrier tape.
Carefully remove the backing paper from the letters.
Align the carrier tape with the letters centrally on part ‘c’ of the model, this may take a few attempts so try not to press the letters onto the model but only the edges of the tape at this stage.
When you are happy with the position of the strip of letters, burnish the letters through the carrier tape.
Now carefully remove the tape making sure that the letters have stuck to the model.
